yes, I've gotten sleep, but these past two nights, my dreams have been a bizarre mix of nightmares and award winning screenplay writing. Yes, I've been starting out with nightmares, which prevent me from getting any good sleep to speak about, followed by intense dreams following the trends of major television series/movies, with me inserted in them somewhere. Of course, I have completely forgotten them, as my waking up routine involves so many things that unless I were to right them down, even getting up to hit snooze and use the bathroom wipes one out. Hopefully tonight will be more serene. I really hope so.

So how was my weekend? Well, Friday, my boss gave everyone half the day off. Most took it, except me of course. Why? Well, two reasons. One, as I was heading TO work, I saw the immense South-bound Benny migration already causing jams and slow downs, and the longer I waited to go home, the less the traffic would be. And two, I was moving to a new desk. Yes, my boss has been matching my complaints about having to hear an AC unit with his answer of "just move somewhere else". So I have had my eye on the empty desk closest to the owners office. So after everyone had gone, I set my plan in motion. In true Me fashion, the "one hour" job turned into 4 hours. The main reason was my own picky tastes. I didn't like the lateral file on the side of the desk it sat under, and the three drawer cabinet on the side it was on. So I pulled them out of their respective spaces and swapped them. Then the next problem presented itself. The desk above the cabinets was too long on lateral side and too short on the three drawer side. Since the desk was in three sections, they were, of course, different sizes. In the end, this led me to pull the wrenches and sockets from my car and take apart the desk to make it fit my needs. It did, and I moved all my junk. My cpu is in the way right now, due to the plug being further away than previously, but I have a plan to mount the case under my desk using some nylon strapping, which should work out fine. I left work around 9pm, and made a nice trip home w/little to no Benny's.

Saturday I woke from crappy sleep with a plan for the day. I then had an internal struggle to figure out if I should go through with it. In the end, I did. So I decided to splurge, and take the diesel out. Nothing better to thank America with than a 3/4ton pickup truck. I washed and shaved, and stopped in town at the new pizza place and while ordering, realized I had forgotten my teeth....again. So I ate, shot back home, then headed to TR to stop at Harbor Freight. I picked up a new high temp glue gun to help fix my boots, among other things. They didn't have my arc welder, so I got a rain check. I then hopped back in the truck and headed further into TR to drop something off for my Ex, Kristen. She was at Lowes, which worked to my advantage. While there, I picked up some "needs" for installing my attic fan, which I see going in during the next week, of which I am ecstatic. I then hopped back in the truck, and went to my last stop, Shop-Rite. I picked up some London Broil for making some pot roast when I got home and some other things I needed. I head back home and settled in for the night. I had to make sure to keep Huck in, as he HATES fireworks, and I care about him. While I was out feeding, I found a dead woodchuck in my trap, and since I didn't have any buckets, I just tossed him in my burn barrel, and that was the end of him. I also ran into two of the skunks under my front porch while walking around the house. They are brave buggers, and will stand their ground against you. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of them. I then went to bed.

Today, I got up, again after some bad, then weird dreams and had my coffee, my pop-tarts, and started cleaning up. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked, but I was also side-tracked by fixing my cousins computer. Kids had got it infected by multiple virii, and in the process of ripping them out, they damaged the system, so I had to repair it. I finished that up, fed the horses, and came back inside to clean some more and make some muffins. That about leads me to where I am right now. Typing away.

Well, it's after midnight now, so I must be getting to bed. I'm praying for a better nights sleep. So I'm gonna post this entry, listen to some Sublime, then try to sleep the sleep of the sleeping. Nighters all.

sunday down

so Sunday is about 15 minutes away from ending. So what did I do? Well, I slept in today, much as I planned. After I got up, I ate, drank 2 cups of coffee, and started watching Arrested Development from the pilot. While doing that, I cleaned up in the kitchen from the chili I made yesterday. I also decided to finally put the last coat of black paint on my Radioactive Case. So I masked off what needed to be saved, and proceeded to put a final black coat on. It came out pretty good from what I see. I just need to put a clear coat on, and everything will be ready to go. After that, I went out to feed the horses and also gassed and filled in a woodchuck hole in the mare paddock as well. I then set out a trap in case he wasn't in the hole. After that, I came back inside, made some muffins, and started neetsfoot oiling my boots and slippers. Once the boot dry, I can put a nice coat of polish on them and have them look good again.

OK, that's it for tonight. I'm gonna hop in the shower to get any sweat from today off me, then slide into the bed for a nice nights sleep. Talk to you later all. Nighters.

busy day

so today was a busy day. Kind of. I realized as I was waking up that anything I didn't get done this weekend would not be able to be put off until next weekend, due to the 4th of July. So it was the impetuous of my decision to make today a chore day.

I got up, went downstairs and brewed a hot cup o' joe to get the blood pumping. I checked online and made my rounds online. I then headed upstairs to take a shower+wash my hair and sync the iPod. I got my act together and headed off to TR. Made it to the barber shop and got my thinning mane trimmed down to a more manageable length. I then headed over to get my oil changed, but alas, the wait would have been three hours b/c my mechanic was the only one on duty. We talked over when I could come in again, and I decided that the week after July 4th would be best. So I realized then that my whole day was going to have to be re-arranged, as stuff I was going to do while waiting for my oil being changed would have to wait. Now, I only realize this in hindsight, but as I was walking out to my car, I think I ran into Kari's brother. Well, I'm pretty sure I said hello like I do to everyone, so at least I was civil, not that there is any reason for me not to. But back to the story. I hopped in the car and headed over to Shop-Rite to pick up some Pepsi 12 packs, some yogurt, and some muffin mix. While there, I sent a text to Kristen telling her that I had her copy of the movie I saw with her. We arranged to meet up, and she said she was surprised I remembered.

Now I feel I should explain something for people that might not know me too well. I have an unusual concept and understanding of time. Perhaps it's the ADHD, but I can honestly pick up a discussion I had months prior like no time has passed. I also don't realize when I haven't spoken to someone in a long time, b/c to me, it doesn't seem like a long time. It's just part of who I am.

So I met Kristen outside of SR because my yogurt was not getting any cooler in the blazing heat. We parted ways, and I headed home. Got home and unloaded everything from my car and packed away that which had to be packed/put away. While putting stuff in the fridge, I pulled a egg roll out and heated it up for myself and also heated the griddle to make another batch of chili, this time w/beans. I then proceeded to clean the house up some, which made me feel good, as I have been busy and letting it slip a little. I vacuumed, but felt something was "off", so I took apart the vacuum and cleaned all the filters to let it breathe easier. I also spent about an hour pinning Huck to the ground and finishing getting all the mats out of his hair from the bath I gave him two weeks ago. I finally pulled another cat sized pile of hair off of him, and sent him on his way. Since the humidity has been so high, the litter boxes have been smelling sooner than normal, so I also emptied and re-filled those. I did a little more housework, fed the horses, then sat down to watch some TV, and felt the urge to write this entry, which even though may be posted at 1am, was started at about 10:30.

OK, that's it for now. I am tired, and can sleep in tomorrow and do absolutely nothing, but will probably clean some more. Nighters all.
